About Us

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought digitalization to the forefront, as both individuals and governments have used digital technologies and skills to tackle the scientific and socio-economic challenges posed by the pandemic. Digitalization has helped to sustain the economy and society by enabling remote work, tracking the spread of the virus, and accelerating research for potential treatments and vaccines. This has emphasized the need for a resilient digital transformation and for strengthening the digital economy and society.

In fact, the European Commission has made the digitalization of Europe one of its key priorities, aiming to make it a “digital decade”. The importance of digitalization extends beyond Europe, however, as EU associated countries such as Montenegro, and developing countries in Southeast Asia like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, also stand to benefit from digital transformation. It can help these countries to speed up their economic growth, achieve sustainable development, and improve the quality of life for their citizens.

This is where our proposed project comes in. By bringing together academic staff and doctoral students from different countries, the project aims to foster research and exchange knowledge and ideas in the field of digitalization. This collaboration will lead to meaningful outputs and the establishment of research partnerships in the digitalization field. Our project is timely, given the current global situation, and has the potential to make a positive impact on the digitalization efforts of participating countries.
