Research Focus: I am currently participating in a two-month (August-September 2024) research project with ODDEA at the Economic University of Bratislava (EUBA). My research focused on the digital economy, specifically examining the evolving digital landscapes in European Union (EU) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. My research aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on digital convergence and divergence trends in these regions. I have been investigating how the pandemic has influenced digital convergence/divergence by using digital indicators covering various aspects including the ICT Development Index, E-Government Development Index, and others. This work aims to uncover patterns of digital development within and between the EU and ASEAN, with the intent of providing insights and policy recommendations that can help bridge the digital divide.
Experiences: My time at EUBA, Bratislava has been incredibly enriching. I have had the opportunity to engage with diverse academic communities, collaborate with fellow researchers, and prepare workshops and activities for events related to digitalization. Each experience has broadened my perspective on the digital economy and reshaped my understanding of the challenges and opportunities different regions face in digital adoption. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have had a very impressive experience interacting with the locals in Bratislava. Their rich culture, warm hospitality, and unique traditions have made my stay enjoyable and enlightening. Exploring the place and connecting with people has greatly enhanced my overall experience in this beautiful city
